Kristin Bowne PT MS DPT
Physical Therapist, Owner
Dr. Kristin Bowne is a pioneer in the new and evolving field of Regenerative Rehabilitation. Her extensive research and practice have allowed her to provide the latest in science and technology and implement cutting-edge programs into any clinical practice. She is passionate about working with others in the community who share her vision for achieving optimal health and fitness and her work is part of an ongoing collaborative with some of the nation's leading regenerative physicians.
Shixin Yu PTA
Growing up with various health conditions and physical frailty, Shixin became a licensed personal trainer by NASM to help others though the process. He then proceeded to receive his B.S. in Psychology from UC Davis and then his Physical Therapy Assistant degree with license from Ohlone College. As a PTA, Shixin is ready to work diligently to help resolve your pain and injury, and aid you in reaching your goals. On the weekend he loves playing board games, playing with his husky, and eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
Penelope Gatton PTA
Penelope merges her background in theatre and dance with her desire to help others, creating a dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant clinical practice. She has experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and enjoys helping her patients heal themselves with a focus on function, strength , and confidence. When not working, Penelope loves to be outdoors exploring with her dog, taking dance and yoga classes, and reading science fiction.
Jessica relocated to Santa Cruz County from the greater bay area about three years ago. She has her degree in Criminal Justice Administration and had been working as a paralegal and as a legal secretary before coming to our offices. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and going to the beach.
Bridgette is completing her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Bioengineering at UC Santa Cruz with a concentration in Assistive Motor Technology. Her professional goals are to continue on to graduate school for Prosthetics and Orthotics. Outside of school and work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and crafting DIY projects, including restoring old furniture to its former glory.
Grace is currently a student at UC Santa Cruz, pursuing a degree in Biology. After college, Grace intends to pursue doctoral education or medicine. Her passion in health care and helping others allows her to enjoy her studies and her work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and playing sports.
Josh recently graduated with a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Cruz. He is a science nerd and is passionate about helping people in their pursuit of happiness. He plans to attend medical school in the future and is currently preparing for his upcoming applications by gaining experience in healthcare settings. Josh recently discovered the sport of surfing and has been wiping out in the beaches of Santa Cruz on his free time.
Maribel attended UC Santa Cruz for her undergraduate career and received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry in 2016. She found yoga while attending university and it quickly became her favorite pass-time. Her personal experience with yoga led her to pursue a teacher training in 2014 and she has been teaching classes all over Northern California ever since. Maribel hopes to use her knowledge of human movement and anatomy to pursue a career in physical therapy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Jason was raised in beautiful Santa Cruz and is attending Cabrillo College. He is looking to transfer to San Jose State for their Occupational Therapy Program. His intent and passion for sports has led him to a career in health and fitness and to share this passion with others. On the weekends Jason coaches children of various ages in team sports. Seeing them learn is an amazing experience for him and has opened his eyes to the idea of becoming a teacher in the classroom as well as on the field.
Laisani is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at UC Santa Cruz. She plans to go to graduate school for physical therapy or medicine after she completes her undergraduate degree. Her passion for science and helping others has driven her to pursue a career in the medical field. Outside of school, Laisani enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling to new places.
